What is Body Mapping?
Body Mapping is used to help musicians (and anyone) uncover the way their bodies are currently producing movement and offers techniques and clear anatomical information to retrain movement that is easy, buoyant, and conscious.
“I've played piano for over fifty years and I've had my share of injuries. This is not just a way of preventing injuries; it gives you the knowledge you need to make playing -- and just living -- easier.”
Music at Port Milford Participant 2020
Why Body Mapping?
Up to 80-90% of musicians at some point experience injury and serious limitations that affect their ability to play. Musicians, like athletes, need accurate anatomical and movement training in order to feel good in their bodies and ENJOY playing their instruments for many decades.
To take your playing to the next level technically, and expressively.
To help music teachers teach develop an anatomical foundation. Music teaching is movement teaching.
